Defender L663 LR Genuine Smoked Rear Tail Lights (Pair)

These are genuine Land Rover smoked rear lamp units for the Land Rover Defender L663, sold as a pair. They function exactly as the standard red LED units but are cleared/smoked when not lit. Forge Automotive supplies them in Europe or NAS specification and fits them at our Darwen and Leeds sites.

Fitting

Fitting is a case of removing the surrounding trim and disconnecting the existing lamps, with no changes to wiring or connectors. Hunters Prestige publish a fitting guide, shown below.

Common questions

What is the difference between the Europe and NAS lights?
The NAS (North America Spec) lights have red indicators to conform with FMVSS108. The UK / EU / RoW units have orange indicators, as used in the UK.

Do they need any wiring changes?
No. Hunters Prestige state they can be retrofitted without changes to wiring or connectors.

What warranty does it come with?
This is a genuine Land Rover part. Hunters Prestige offer a 2-year warranty on genuine Land Rover parts, in line with Land Rover's standard manufacturer warranty coverage. Hunters Prestige also state that lighting accessories do not affect or void the manufacturer warranty, provided they are installed correctly and do not interfere with original vehicle systems.

Can I fit these rear lights myself, or do you fit it?
Either. Hunters Prestige publish a how-to-fit video, embedded on this page, if you want to do it yourself. If not, we fit these rear lights at both of our sites: Darwen in the North West (Eccleshill Business Park, BB3 0GY) and Gildersome, Leeds (Overland Park, LS27 7FE).
