Defender L663 Rear Loadspace LED Lighting V1

This is a 500mm Daylight White LED light fitting for the rear loadspace of the Land Rover Defender L663 90, 110 and 130. It adds light in the load space on top of the stock lighting and takes switched power from the right-hand existing LED fitting. Forge Automotive supplies it and fits it at our Darwen and Leeds sites.

Good to know

• On 7 seater models, routing the cable behind the pillar is a little more tricky because a seat belt mounting is in the way.

Fitting

It fits without tools using 3D printed fixings, and connects to the right-hand existing LED fitting with a cable, plug and socket adapter. Hunters Prestige publish a fitting guide, shown below.

Common questions

Does it replace the standard loadspace lights?
No. It adds light in the rear load space in addition to the stock lighting, and takes switched power from the right-hand existing LED fitting.

Does it fit 7 seater models?
Yes, but Hunters Prestige note that routing the cable behind the pillar is a little more tricky because a seat belt mounting is in the way.

What warranty does it come with?
Hunters Prestige cover their parts with a standard 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the date of purchase. Hunters Prestige also state that lighting accessories do not affect or void the manufacturer warranty, provided they are installed correctly and do not interfere with original vehicle systems.

Can I fit this loadspace light myself, or do you fit it?
Either. Hunters Prestige publish a how-to-fit video, embedded on this page, if you want to do it yourself. If not, we fit this loadspace light at both of our sites: Darwen in the North West (Eccleshill Business Park, BB3 0GY) and Gildersome, Leeds (Overland Park, LS27 7FE).
