Defender L663 Fixed Side Step Kit

The Hunters Prestige fixed side step kit for the Land Rover Defender L663 mounts a pair of aluminium steps for easier access to the roof and interior. Forge Automotive supplies it for the 90 and the 110 in Gloss Black Chequerplate or Black Union Jack, with fitting at our Darwen and Leeds sites.

Common questions

Are the chequerplate steps metal or plastic?
Aluminium. Hunters Prestige state that their chequerplate side steps are made of aluminium, not plastic.

What comes in the kit?
A pair of side steps and the fitting kit, including brackets, bolts and replacement clips.

What warranty does it come with?
Hunters Prestige cover their parts with a standard 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the date of purchase. Hunters Prestige also state that side steps do not affect or void the manufacturer warranty, provided they are installed correctly and do not interfere with original vehicle systems.

Can I fit this side step kit myself, or do you fit it?
Either. Hunters Prestige publish a how-to-fit video, embedded on this page, if you want to do it yourself. If not, we fit this side step kit at both of our sites: Darwen in the North West (Eccleshill Business Park, BB3 0GY) and Gildersome, Leeds (Overland Park, LS27 7FE).
