Defender L663 Soft Close Tailgate Retrofit

Soft close on the tailgate was dropped from the majority of Land Rover Defender L663 builds when parts shortages hit factory production. This kit adds it back using new genuine Land Rover parts. You can fit it yourself, or Forge Automotive can fit it at our Darwen or Leeds site.

What warranty does it come with?
The kit is made up of genuine Land Rover parts. Hunters Prestige offer a 2-year warranty on genuine Land Rover parts, in line with Land Rover's standard manufacturer warranty coverage.

Can I fit it myself, or do you fit it?
Either. You can buy the kit and fit it yourself, and Hunters Prestige publish a fitting video, embedded on this page. If not, we fit it at both of our sites: Darwen in the North West (Eccleshill Business Park, BB3 0GY) and Gildersome, Leeds (Overland Park, LS27 7FE).

Fitting is available on every part at our North West (Darwen) and Yorkshire (Leeds) workshops. Prefer to fit it yourself? Fitting instructions ship with every part.
