Common questions

Are yellow fog lights legal in the UK?
Yes. The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 allow front fog lights to be white or yellow, and require them to carry an approval mark. Hunters Prestige state that these lights are E-marked and fully road legal.

When can I use front fog lights?
Only when visibility is seriously reduced. The Highway Code says you must not use front or rear fog lights otherwise, and that you must switch them off when visibility improves.

Do they need extra wiring or coding?
No. Hunters Prestige list them as a plug and play product.

What warranty does it come with?
Hunters Prestige cover their parts with a standard 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the date of purchase. Hunters Prestige also state that lighting accessories do not affect or void the manufacturer warranty, provided they are installed correctly and do not interfere with original vehicle systems.

Can I fit these fog lights myself, or do you fit it?
Either. Hunters Prestige publish a how-to-fit video, embedded on this page, if you want to do it yourself. If not, we fit these fog lights at both of our sites: Darwen in the North West (Eccleshill Business Park, BB3 0GY) and Gildersome, Leeds (Overland Park, LS27 7FE).
