Each piece is precision-shaped to integrate with the M Sport front bumper's contours for a clean, factory-quality finish.

The splitter is built specifically for the G20 and G21 - not a universal-fit item that needs trimming or adaptation. All necessary self-tapping bolts are included and the straightforward installation process means most enthusiasts can fit this at home in a single session.

This splitter requires the BMW M Sport front bumper. It is not compatible with standard non-M Sport bumpers fitted to base-spec 3 Series models.

Common questions

What is wet-lay carbon fibre (CFRP)?
Wet-lay carbon is made by laying dry carbon cloth into the mould and applying resin by hand, then curing at room temperature or low heat, sometimes over a fibreglass or composite base. It gives the same 2x2 weave look as pre-preg for less money. The trade-off is more resin and a little more weight, and the finish depends more on the maker, which is why we only stock wet-lay parts from brands whose quality we have seen.

Is wet-lay carbon strong enough for a splitter or diffuser?
Yes for road use. The part is still carbon reinforced and stiff enough for a splitter, skirt or diffuser. If you want the lightest, most rigid option, choose the pre-preg version where the range has one.

What is a 2x2 twill weave?
The weave pattern in the carbon cloth. In a 2x2 twill each strand passes over two and under two, which gives the diagonal pattern BMW use on their own M Performance and M carbon parts. Choosing 2x2 means aftermarket and factory carbon on the same car match.

How do I look after a carbon fibre part?
Treat the lacquer like paint: wash with pH-neutral shampoo, avoid harsh solvents, and wax or seal it. UV is what ages carbon, so a protected finish lasts longer. Forge Automotive can apply paint protection film to any carbon part before fitting, which guards against stone chips and keeps the weave clear.

Is this splitter made from real carbon fibre?
Yes. This splitter is manufactured from CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer) with a 2x2 weave pattern and finished with a UV-protective high-gloss lacquer. It is not a carbon-look wrap or ABS plastic with a carbon print - this is genuine structural carbon fibre throughout.

What does the 3-piece design mean? Is the centre section included?
The splitter consists of two outer winglet sections and a centre piece. The outer winglets are always included. The centre section is an optional upgrade - you can choose to add it at the time of ordering for a full competition-style front end, or run the outer sections only for a cleaner, wider-splitter look.

How is it installed?
The splitter attaches using the included self-tapping bolts, which thread into the lower front bumper. No specialist tools, drilling of new holes, or professional fitting is required. Most owners complete the installation in under an hour.

What finish does the carbon have?
The splitter is finished in a high-gloss UV-resistant lacquer over the 2x2 carbon weave, giving a deep, show-quality shine. The gloss finish is consistent with the standard used across FORM's full carbon fibre range.

Can this be used on track?
Yes. The competition-grade CFRP construction makes this splitter suitable for both road and track use. It is not a flexible or semi-rigid part - it is a rigid carbon structure designed for the aerodynamic and visual demands of performance driving.
