Common questions
How do I look after a carbon fibre part?
Treat the lacquer like paint: wash with pH-neutral shampoo, avoid harsh solvents, and wax or seal it. UV is what ages carbon, so a protected finish lasts longer. Forge Automotive can apply paint protection film to any carbon part before fitting, which guards against stone chips and keeps the weave clear.
How long does fitting take?
Urban allow 1 hour for this part. Forge Automotive fits it at either site and will confirm the time when you book.
Does it come painted?
Yes. Urban supply it painted and lacquered. Forge Automotive can colour match it to the car or apply paint protection film before fitting.
